With any product for your home, you want to know it comes from a company you can trust, one with a track record for quality.

At Your Blinds Direct, we’ve been supplying blinds to the trade as a family business since 1991 and began providing our products for homeowners directly in 2010. Over the years, the whole family has joined the ranks, helping to lift our status as a trusted blind manufacturer in the UK.

Our parent company first manufactured blinds in an old school room, growing quickly to require its own dedicated space.

We initially started with Venetian blinds – the most popular style at the time – but our range soon expanded to meet demand and account for the latest trends, including the latest innovation of Perfect Fit shutters.

With affordable prices and MissMeasure insurance available to add to your order, we’ve made our name as the online blinds company that allows you to shop with confidence.

Handmade in the heart of England

We produced just over 97,000 blinds last year – that’s 30 blinds an hour on average, all finished by hand. While this may not sound a lot for a company with over 50 employees, we prefer to focus on quality, not quantity.

Customers trust us because we put the time and effort into each and every blind to ensure outstanding quality, rather than churn out sub-standard or average products.

We manufacture our blinds in the Midlands, tucked between the villages of Thurmaston, Oadby and Kirby Muxloe, just a stone’s throw from the National Space Centre, home to the UK’s largest planetarium. We’re also in good company of local sports teams who know a thing or two about the quality needed for success, with Leicester Tigers and Leicester City FC just down the road.

To bring your home the quality it deserves, we use a variety of trusted suppliers for our raw materials, fabrics and components. We choose our suppliers based on qualities that reflect our own principles of:

Unlike some other manufacturers, we don’t use cheap copies from Asia — all our parts are fully licensed, official parts for your peace of mind.

Get to know some of our team

The large majority of our manufacturing staff has been with us for many years. They bring a huge range of skills and knowledge, with the youngest team member at 19 and the oldest at 72.

A blind will go through many hands before arriving at your door. Your order starts with our order entry coordinators, moves to our skilled machine operatives, and then is checked by our experienced quality control specialists, before finally arriving at our packing and despatch area.
